In 2001, Leslie Cheung’s last photo album when he was alive was released in Japan and sold in incredible numbers. The person who shot those photos for him was Wing Shya, a well-known photographer and Leslie’s good friend as well. In March, Yit interviewed Wing Shya in Hong Kong. After over a decade, Wing can still recall many details of working with Leslie.
